Reframe Everything is where my curiosity meets my systems thinking, with a side of healthy skepticism.

I'm Karen Wilson, a marketing and business strategist, consultant, and founder of KCW Consulting. You might assume that my worldview is pretty conservative with a description like that, but I'm not.

The world works for only a small group of people and this is the place where I can explore the systems shaping how we live, work, and communicate.

Marketing, media, tech, and policy: they influence everything from our decisions to the tools we use and the values we internalize.

There's a common belief that the systems we live in are broken and need to be fixed. I disagree. I think the world is working exactly how it was set up to work, and some particularly bad actors are using known weaknesses to "break" the long-established "gentleman's agreement" that was the status quo for over a century.

Reframe Everything is about unpacking these systems so we can understand how they operate: what’s outdated, extractive, and unnecessarily complex.

It’s also about offering alternatives:

  • Tools that make work easier.
  • Strategies rooted in ethics and intention.
  • A version of growth that isn’t just about the bottom line.

Why I Started This

Reframe Everything is an extension of my work with KCW Consulting, where I help small businesses and non-profits clarify their strategy, communicate with purpose, and build efficient systems that don’t burn them out.

This project is about ideas and perspectives that challenge the status quo and present alternative points of view and even a vision for thoughtful, sustainable ways of engaging in the world around us, particularly for small business owners who are exploring other ways of operating and need resources.
